Glass - video - sound installation

concept: Two large free standing kiln formed architectural glass structures capture projected video imagery and sweep it like an embrace of moving light reflections across the three large scale suspended screens and the adjoining walls, drawing a soft visual contemplative feeling of tranquil belonging inside the installation space.

inspiration: The sounds and images of Nature intentionally transport visitors into the safe envelope of light and movement.

technical data: installation area top view

blue lines: movement of visitors inside the installation area

installation area: 4.60m x 7.90m x 3.90m

glass plates: 0.80m x 0.45m

screens: 3.80m x 2.20m, 2.50m x 2.20m, 3.70m x 2.20m

technical: All screens are suspended reverse-projection screens that enable images to be seen from both sides. Small part of the main front screen is seen from the outside and is used as an invitation into the installation. The long side screen forms a semi-transparent tunnel enabling visitors to move and freely discover the space.
The floor is covered with sanded felt, which produces subtle sandy sounds that interact with the natural sounds of the river, played at low key inside the area. The video is site specific adaptation of the original footage that was filmed underwater in the clear mountain rivers.
