Installation: optical glass rods, wooden boxes, video screen(1.20mx1.70m) video/sound loop 5:1min; Galerie bei Museum, Frauenau, Germany 2007
technical: A video image is projected onto the sculptural glass screen constructed from high-optic glass rods. The rods are individually positioned and placed inside three original factory wooden boxes, where the glass has been stored for decades, to create a 3-dimensional optical screen. The precise position of each individual glass cane is critical to achieving the desired visual and spatial effect. The images are contained within the material and yet they fill the whole space with ethereal (glass) emotions.

Installation space (W'hampton Art Gallery): 3.50m x 3.50m x 3.50m

inspiration: MemoriesNo2 features video footage from the 50's mixed with the recent footage I filmed at Plowden & Thompson in 2006 to articulate the continuity of values and hopes within this disappearing community through many generations.
concept: Every grain of sand that is melted in the glass captures tiny specs of light, which reflect back to us visual impressions of this present moment and all of its yesterdays.
