interactive projection journey

interactive sculptural intervention in new architectural landscape: Structural projection posts are set in the landscape where they form a promenade, a journey of unexpected discovery, fun and contemplation.
The stations are like personal friends one stops by for fun or to rest by, and in the evening they recognize our journey increasing the level of light as public walks through.
concept: Based on workshops and conversations with the residents I realised how important will be to balance the urban planning with their need to keep the essence of open outdoors. The new development will affect the dynamics of how the estate is linked to the town. With the aim to use natural phenomena and people's stories to portray the freedom of open spaces I created the interactive lighting scheme that will turn a walk through the otherwise shadowy walkway into a memorable and joyful experience.
hand projections: miniature images of words are projected into intimate secretive spaces and can only be discovered by touch
surface projections:: textured images and text is projected onto the ground and bordering surfaces with slow colour-shifts to bring to the area a sense of elegant glow and intrigue
